Quick Summer Shaker Card feat. OddBall Art

Image
Hello everyone! Eny here, and today I wanted to share with you a quick way to make shaker cards. I love creating shaker projects, but they tend to be laborious and use up A LOT of material. A few years back I watched a video from a YouTuber called Nurse Tara, where she created several of these in a matter of minutes. I was immediately hooked, and ever since, I use this more often than not, as my go-to way of making shaker elements.  Firt, we decide what image we want to use. Today i will be coloring up  OddBall Art IMG#155 Digital Stamp Big Eye Fairy Girl & Friend Sally & Charlie  I used ArtNFly Alcohol Sketch Markers. I have been using these for about 2 months now, and I am in love! They are refillable, affordable and so fun to use. To add detail, i created a pool border, with a very cool gray, and then used a darker shade to create the the "Stone" accents. Make sure to blend your colors good, to create a shading effect. ...

Crime and Crafts Episode 1

Image
Hello everyone and welcome to the first episode of Crime and Crafts, the show that will dive in to True Crime stories. During this series,  I will be creating scenes inspired by the stories I will be sharing with you.  Though these are grisly,  sinister in nature, I won't be creating gruesome crafts. I will only be using portions of the story; place, time, "characters " to bring the story to life. I want to be respectful towards the victims and their families. So don't be expecting an "R" feature presentation. Let's remember that these were once living souls, who were snuffed from their families and loved ones.  I ask that no matter what you think,  you remain respectful in your comments, as we discuss these unforeseen events.  Today's case takes us back to 1980s New Orleans, where an unsuspecting heiress will meet her fate. Let's walk the paths through this Pet Cemetery, and uncover all the details to this sad tale.  Dor...

Happy Mother's Day

Image
Hello everyone! Eny here, with two sweet cards I designed using using OddBall images  #537 No Drama Llama Cute and Snarky , and  #456 Cute Little Fuzzy Birds Shit Happens  . I wanted to make something simple to celebrate mother's day and these images were perfect for such an occasion.  Proving, that you can truly "alter" any stamp to fit your needs. For the Drama Llama image, I used InkScape to invert the Llama , resize and position the images to create a cuddly scene. Our feathered friends were already the perfect size, so I only had to position them closer to each other.  I have a very simple pictorial to share with you, that hopefully will inspire you to dig up some stamps, or get some new ones, to create some fun cards! I first print and color all images, using ArtNFly Colored Pencils On a white smooth cardstock i use two stencils to create my background. I first use Paige Taylor Evans heart stencil with Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick....
