Eny/AECP Seasonal Scene Building/Altenew

Image
Hello everyone, Today I wanted to share with you another Altenew card I created, using techniques from the Seasonal Scene Building class. During this class, we learned different ways of building scenes for our card covers. Whether it is with masking, no-line coloring, or a big bold scene , there truly is something for every occasion. For today’s creation, I used two stamp sets. The main silhouette image is from the Versatile Vases set, and all floral images are from the Build-a-Flower: Hellebore set.  I began by trimming a Neenah Smooth Solar White Cardstock, to 4.25 x 11 inches, and then scoring at the 5.50 mark, to create a top folding card. I first stamped the medium sized vase at the far left corner, and created a mask for the same image, using a post-it note. Making sure to stamp really close to the sticky portion, so it stays put while I create my card. I fussy cut the post-it version of the image, and place it over my main stamped image on my cardstock. I repeat this process w

Hello everyone! I am here today again, sharing another fun card, featuring techniques learned during Altenew’s All About Layers 2! During this class, we learned extra techniques, to make layered images look amazing on any project. For this card, I decided to use the Ballon Bunch stamp set, and also sentiments from the For All Seasons set. I wanted to make a vibrant, autumn card, and show my love to the season I favor the most. I trimmed down a piece of Neenah 80lb Smooth Solar White Cardstock, down to a standard A2 size card (4.25x5.50) and began to stamp my images. For this project, I used Distress Oxide inks; Crackling Campire, Ripe Persimmon, Squeezed Lemonade, and Frayed Burlap. In the Ballon Bunch set, you get 3 different balloon images, and I chose to use the heart shaped on. Each balloon, has two stamps , you layer one on top of the other, to create the full image. I alternated color combos, so I would have lighter balloons, and darker balloons, on my main design.  I was so ha

Hello everyone! Eny here here, once again, with another great Altenew Academy project share. The past few days I’ve been all about Stencil Techniques. I have a couple of extra designs I want to try, so make sure to follow me on my Instagram , where I’ll be sharing all my projects. A few weeks ago, I had purchased the Cloud Stencil from Altenew, and ever since I’ve been hooked. They have a such a whispy and ethereal look to them, that adds an extra special touch to any background. Though we learned different ways to use a stencil during this class, I’m going for a bit of a classic approach. This stencil set also comes with a masking piece, which makes it easier to add details, without ruining your entire project. I first used the mask portion, and placed it over a Neenah Smooth White 80lb cardstock. I fully covered my surface with Distress Oxide Ink Tattered Rose.  To create the darker clouds, I used the main cloud stencil piece, and Distress Oxide Ink Worn Lipstick. To really get the

Hello everyone, Today I am sharing once again a Altenew card, for the Clean and Simple Boutique Cards class. Learned so much from Jennifer Rzasa and am excited to share my make with all of you. During this class, we learned how to create some 'fancy" cards, like the ones you see at stores, that always look beautiful and "put together". For my card I wanted a classic look. I trimmed a Arteza Watercolor Paper down to a A2 size card (4.25 x 5.50 ) base and stamped my images using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. I will be using the Magnolia heart Mini stamps set. I made sure to start at the center of my page, to make sure I covered enough surface to create a background page with the stamp. I added color to the images, using Arteza Real Brush Watercolor Markers. I made sure to have a very soft hand while applying the colors, to make sure it wouldn't bleed through the ink or between the colors. I used soft pinks, reds and greens to create the overall look. Added a sentimen

Hello everyone! I am so excited to be sharing this project with you today. I have the honor to be participating in this round of the Altenew Academy Educator Program, and with one class, I've already learned so many fun techniques. I began my journey with All About Layers 1 class, and I will be sharing a card that features a lot of the techniques learned.  For this card, I used the Build-A-Flower: Hellebore. It is a gorgeous set, and one of my favorites from Altenew. You can create three different flowers, and each flower has a combination of stamps that layer one on top of the other, to get the full look. Altenew makes it easy, by including a step-by-step guide in their stamp packet. I wanted a soft look for my design, so I decided to use Distress Oxide Inks Tattered Rose, Tea Dye and Black Soot. I stamped all images on Neenah Smooth White Cardstock. To add a pop of color, I also stamped the leaves included in the set and used Distress Oxide Inks Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. On
