Rotating Sentiment Flipbook Cover

Image
Hello everyone and Happy Monday! Today's tutorial was a really fun one to put together. Inspired by my infinite attempt at simplifying a project, or making it more cost effective, I figured out a way to create a rotating sentiment element to my covers, by using items I already had in my stash. I started by gathering three circle does from a WRMK nesting die set. One will be large for my sentiments , one small to hold that base and help with the rotating feature. The last circle will be to cut the opening for the sentiments to appear, and also to create my space where the person can rotate the "wheel" with their fingers. Once I had my pieces cut, I was able to lay both my largest and smallest circle one right on top of the other, piercing a hole in the center of both, to add a small brad so I could secure them together. Card Making Friday Series!

Image
Hello everyone! It's been a long minute since I posted in my blog, and I could list that many reasons why, but I think a project share and update is in order. Today I posted my second card making video, in honor of St Patrick's Day weekend. I used several elements for this card. My cover base was created using Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Lucky Clover over some Canson XL watercolor paper. Added some sparkle by using three Tattered Angels Shimmers watercolor paints. Added my sentiments and layers, by using a Doodlebug 6x6 paper pad, called Pot O' Gold. It's an old collection (from 2015), but adorable and perfect for this project! I wanted to create a very card, that can be used for inspiration in created your own for any occasion. Full tutorial is available in my YouTube Channel. Happy crafting Eny Dunn DoodleChipsCrafts
